EP4 - Susie Quicke

Based in Brooome WA, singer songwriter Susie Quicke has been performing since 1994. Originally from the Karri forests of the South West of WA, she has been living in the north west since 1992. Her rich contralto has shades of Sarah Vaughn, Cassandra Wilson, Joan Armatrading.

EP7 - Jamie Jackett

The Broome-based artist’s work draws inspiration from the eclectic and naturally rich environment surrounding her adopted home: the vastness of the clear, dark Kimberley skies, and the vivid contrast of rusted earth against the milky turquoise Roebuck Bay.  This ancient, breathing land whose vastness reveals how insignificant our lives are, humbles and yet empowers Jackett, who allows all of this colour and light to materialise through her songwriting.

Tanya Ransom pens songs that are emotionally revealing in a style that expresses both strength and fragility. Whether it be performing in trio style or a one woman show yielding a guitar and ukulele, she’ll draw in her audience with a warm embracing delivery, depth and a touch of melancholy and captivate them with her presence.

Adele Oliver is a Singer-songwriter from Broome, Western Australia. Having spent the majority of her life in the Kimberley, her songs are heavily influenced by the rugged landscapes she calls home. Adele blends folk, alt country and acoustic blues with soothing and intimate vocals. Through her laid-back story telling style, her songs will take you on a heart-warming journey.

EP3 - Monique Le Lievre

Monique writes songs about her perspective of people’s stories, country and nature. She released her first single, Song for Mary, last year through an APRA mentorship. Her song, Edith, appears on the recently released WAM album ‘Sounds of the Kimberley’.

EP6 - MissGenius

A deft flow, sharp lyrical danger and meticulous beat selection is MissGenius. A First Nations hip hop MC and soul vocalist, MissGenius is a Maduwongga and Noongar woman who grew up in Broome, Perth and Kalgoorlie, WA. She is an artist who has written songs for herself since 2015, MissGenius uses music as a tool to for strength and peace, drawing from her life experiences, producing and recording all her own material in her Kalgoorlie bedroom.

EP9 - Lyrical Instinct

Jacob Hamaguchi (Gregory), AKA Lyrical Instinct, started listening to rap music when he was about eleven and has been listening to it ever since. Most of Jacob’s songs are focused on building self-esteem and he wants to have a positive impact on people whenever they hear his music
