Open Borders encourages all contemporary artists and performers living in regional communities across Western Australia to join us in creating artworks inspired by the theme of “Open Borders”.

As observers and commentators on your social, physical and cultural environment, and as communicators of ideas and imagination, the concept of “Open Borders” relates to life and the life of our community.

You’re invited to be part of this discussion by creating simple shadow puppets that reflect your responses to the above statement.

This workshop will form part of the consultation process in preparation for a performance by Open Boarders at Curtin University Art Gallery in 2023.

If you’re a contemporary artist or performer living in regional communities across Western Australia, this workshop is for you – and we want to hear and see what you have to say!
